- Defended lenders and national financial services organizations in state and federal court actions by customers asserting violations of the Truth-In-Lending Act (“TILA”), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (“FDCPA”), and various other federal and state consumer protection statutes.
- Defended lenders and national financial services organizations in actions by borrowers asserting mortgage-related claims, including allegations of wrongful foreclosure, slander of title and state mortgage statute violations.
- Defended lenders and national financial services organizations in foreclosure actions and actions to quiet title.
- Represented lenders and national financial services organizations in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings involving lien avoidance, objections to claims, alleged violations of the automatic stay and of the discharge injunction, and claim treatment in plans of reorganization. Also represented lenders and national financial services organizations as part of the Mortgage Modification Mediation (“MMM”) program.
